SOFTNESS FALLING

SOFTNESS FALLING, originally uploaded by B I R D.

and then
the days
became unumbered
as we rolled n to the
las push before the holidays
and the slow decent
into darkness
which brings upon
inevitable
hibernation
let the crows
and the ravens
spin their mystery
let the bears tread
to a solemn sleep
and let the vultures and fox
pick the carcass of this year clean
and then we take in a shallow breath
holding onto the last days of summer
but let the colors be the last
to softly fall
and pour out seeds
which will gestate
till spring
