the stars of peace
played out in the square
and each square reverberated
with the sound of the other
and each one was connected by a cascade of stars
each star a martyr carried through the square
on the hands of the Innocent singing so true so true
peace is in our reach
AND WE HOLD OUR BREATH AS PEACEFUL TRANSITION GERMINATES
IN THE RICH SOIL OF THE FERTILE CRESCENT
