we supply the drama
and the script
the global vision
and the summation
the gnawing in the stomach
and the quickening of the heart
the belief and the hope
and he fear and the disappointment
and when they move down stage
pausing before the first line
we wonder what we would be thinking
and what we would do
and if the doing
would be the undoing
or the unraveling
be the first act of reconstruction
still waters run deep
every good bye aint gone
every shut eye aint sleep
